Ku-ring-gai Zone Secondary Schools Sports Association (KZSSSA) provides the structure under which all associated schools compete.
 
The following schools are associated with the KZSSSA:
  • Carlingford High School

  • Ku-ring-gai Performing Arts High School
  • Pennant Hills High School
  • St Ives High School
  • Turramurra High School
The Zone is then split further into two areas:

Note: Ku-ring-gai Performing Arts High School does not participate in grade sport. They are a part of the zone for carnivals and representation teams only.
 

Grade sports offered

 
Grade sport is divided up into three seasons per year: summer, winter and spring. During these seasons the competition will consist of the core sports as well as elective sports. 
 
Note: All sports are selected at the annual sports fixtures meeting held by the sports organisers. 
 
Core sports:
  • badminton
  • basketball
  • volleyball.

Elective sports:

  • AFL
  • cricket
  • European handball
  • hockey
  • netball
  • Oz tag
  • rugby union
  • soccer
  • sofcrosse
  • softball
  • speedaway
  • ultimate frisbee
  • touch football
  • water polo.
Each season has its own point scores and finals series.

Social sport

Social sport works in conjunction with grade sport. This is offered to Years 10 and 11 students only. The sports that are offered over the year are: subject to change at any session are:

  • badminton
  • bush walking
  • gym
  • surfing
  • tennis 
  • ten pin bowling.
