Students are expected to arrive at school on time.

Usual Bell Times

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:50 am–3:15 pm

  • Tuesday 8:50am–2:15pm

  • Thursday 8:50 am–2:30 pm for Years 9 and 10 (grade sports afternoon)

  • Friday 8:50am–3:15pm (some classes finish at 4:18pm)

  • Some Years 11 and 12 classes commence at 7:45 am

School Office Open Hours

The school office and reception are operational from 8:30 am–3:30 pm daily.

School bell times are now available to download here.

If a student arrives late to school, they should

  1. scan in using their student ID card and print out a receipt which is then taken to the class teacher.
  2. Where possible a parental or guardian note explaining the circumstances should be provided.

You can send the explanation to the school by either:

  • emailing the attendance email address at stives-h.admin@det.nsw.edu.au
  • phone call to the front office at (02) 9144 1689
  • sending a note to the school office via your child.

Please note that lateness without reasonable explanation will appear on school reports.

Sentral Parent Portal is a preferred mode of notifying the school of any absences/late arrivals.

Parents/carers can use the "Absences" button to convey their message.
