Bell times
Our school day is structured around a clear timetable. We have set times for learning sessions, activities and lunch. Understanding the bell times helps students get the most out of each part of the day.
It's important for students to arrive on time each day. If your child is running late, please contact our front office.
Our bell times
- Years 7 - 10 : A typical day starts at 8:50 am and ends at 3:15 pm. (Tuesdays are 8:50 am - 2:15 pm)
- Years 11 - 12 : A typical day for senior students may start from 7:45 am and end at 4:15 pm. Individual senior students have a different timetabled start and finish times.
Thursday Assembly Period
Assembly periods are compulsary for all students in all years. All students are to sit in their correct roll call.
Need help with attendance?
If a student arrives late to school, they should first check into the school office using their student ID card and take the printed note to the class teacher.
Where possible, a parental or guardian note, or an appointment card from a medical provider, explaining the circumstances should be provided upon arrival.
Parents or guardians can contact the school by either:
- emailing the attendance email address at stives-h.admin@det.nsw.edu.au
- phone call to front office at (02) 9144 1689 (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)
- sending a note to the school office via your child in the morning.
Please note that lateness without reasonable explanation will appear on school reports.
If you have questions about arrival times or absences, please contact us.
