What do our school counsellors do?

The school counselling service can:

·      Provide individual counselling for students, including appropriate short-term interventions,

·      Liaise with and refer to appropriate external providers, as necessary,

·      Contribute to planning for students with additional needs, including assisting in completing funding applications,

·      Assess students (cognitive, social, emotional or behavioural) referred by the learning support team,

·      Actively support Year Advisers and Learning Support staff,

·      Contribute to whole –school welfare programming, including assisting with targeted programs.
