Diverse learning support

All NSW public school students have a right to an inclusive learning environment and to feel happy and safe at school.

St Ives High School's Diverse Learning (DL) team plays a key role in ensuring we meet the specific needs of students with additional learning and support needs, including disability. The DL team, advocates for students in the classroom and leads with strategies which are evolved from Personalised Learning Plans (PLP).

Support Unit: Autism

Fostering a nurturing environment that prioritises individual learning needs.

At St Ives High School, we are proud to offer a dedicated Autism Support Unit, designed to provide tailored educational experiences for students on the autism spectrum.

Support Unit: Hearing

Empowering students with hearing impairments.

Our school is proud to host a Hearing Support Unit, one of only two schools in Sydney that employs an oral/aural framework to support students with hearing impairments.

Additional learning and support

Our support classes provide our students with a nurturing environment, where time can be spent with each individual student; individual learning plans are adapted specifically and personalised tuition develops their confidence.
